Arboriculture is an expanded "tree specific" component of Horticulture. Having an understanding of your trees physiology gives our Arborists the ability to work with your trees natural mechanisms to effectively manage your trees in the urban environment & produce your desired results.
Example: To prune your tree clear of your building & spouting, a ‘lopper’ will usually cut your tree back a specified distance regardless of your trees type, form & growth patterns, generally causing your tree to rapidly re-grow structurally poor shoots from unsightly stubs, that often rot.
Alternatively, our Arborists will take into consideration your trees type, form & growth patterns & prune to either discourage re-growth or encourage re-growth in an appropriate position & direction. This reduces your future costs, physical & physiological tree damage (& subsequent tree health) & leaves you with an aesthetically & structurally superior tree.
Our Arborists also have specific knowledge & training in safe climbing, pruning & lowering techniques previously tried & tested, giving you peace of mind that your job will be done properly, safely & efficiently!

We offer to continue your quoted works to your full satisfaction!…because we at Aardvark Professional Tree Services recognise the importance of quality customer care. Your trees are precious! We cannot overestimate the contribution they provide towards our environment & our quality of life. Can you imagine cities without the softening effects of trees?
  • Fewer birds & animals would remain without the habitat of your trees;
  • Local temperatures would become more extreme without your trees;
  • Shade would be become more difficult to find, & hence;
  • Noise levels would be significantly higher;
  • Less trees would mean a much higher degree of pollution levels would prevail;
  • Carbon-dioxide levels would increase (...your trees are an effective carbon 'sink');
  • Oxygen levels would generally decrease;
  • All this, not to mention the utterly profound aesthetic loss!

...And this is only a short list of how fewer trees would effect each & every one of us. Of course, there is also the global impact that these issues have on our environment ...& our desire for a sustainable future for ourselves & our children.

Why should you use a qualified Arborist to manage your trees? Arboriculture is an expanded "tree specific" component of Horticulture. Having an understanding of tree physiology gives the Arborist an ability to work with the trees natural mechanisms to effectively manage trees in the urban environment & produce desired results.

Eg: To prune a tree clear of a building and its spouting, a 'lopper' will usually cut the tree back a specified distance regardless of the trees type, form & growth patterns, often allowing the tree to rapidly re-grow structurally poor shoots from unsightly stubs (that will often decay).

Alternately, an Arborist will take into consideration the trees type, form & growth patterns & prune to either discourage re-growth or encourage re-growth in an appropriate position & direction. This reduces both future costs & physical damage (& subsequent health), & leaves an aesthetically & structurally superior tree.
